Meet the Founders

Wollert Hvide and J. Peter Andersland

We founded Sector Asset Management because we realised that the only way to generate long term investment return in notorious unprofitable cyclical industries, such as shipping, was to include the short side. At the time, current investment practices did not offer the combination of deep industry competence with an effective investment strategy...

Mission

Improving asset management. Anywhere we can. ‘Anywhere’ means the opportunity to improve should come from any aspect of asset management, be it the investment philosophies, strategies and techniques we deploy into our portfolios, the type of investment talent we look for or, and above all, the way we structure our practice to ensure true alignment of interest with our fellow investors. ‘We can’ means we get involved only where we are convinced we can truly make a difference, as opposed to trying to ride the latest commercial fad. Sector AM is not a ‘me-too’.
